Listening to the ancient tropical spirit of the Big Island, I hear inspiring stories of ocean, land, sun, and wind. These tales inspire me to carve them into designs on linoleum and print them onto clothing as unique wearable art.
TROPICAL TRAPPINGS is the result of a long creative journey into the art of block printing. It is very primitive!  I was in a flow of creative development and research for two years to learn about carving, paints that stay permanent and soft to the touch, quality fabrics, and inspired tropical designs before I showed anything to the public. TROPICAL TRAPPINGS began in earnest in 1994, when I moved to Hawaii from my 20 acres in the forest of Oregon.  Mother Earth has so much beauty to share, I am thankful to be able to live what I love..............here in beautiful Hawaii.

Now that Hawaii is my home, I sell blockprinted clothing wholesale to stores on the Big Island. The BLUE GINGER GALLERY in Kainaliu has carried my full line since 1994.
